Requisites to enter Colombia
There are no restrictions to enter the Colombian territory solely based on the amount of COVID-19 cases on foreign countries. Based on the Colombian Ministry of Health Resolution 2052 all non-resident foreigners 18 years and older arriving to Colombia by air:
- Must present proof they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for at least 14 days prior to travel.
- If less than 14 days have elapsed or if the vaccination scheme is not complete, the traveler must present a PCR test with a negative result taken within 72 hours of boarding the plane.
Unvaccinated non-resident foreigners won’t be allowed to enter Colombia. The proof of vaccination must be presented either in paper format or digitally. The certification must include the individual’s full name, date of vaccination, name of the vaccine administered, and the number of doses administered. The vaccines accepted are the ones authorized by the World Health Organization or officially approved by a country or territory recognized by the United Nations. A list of accepted vaccines by the Ministry of Health can be found here (in Spanish).
Additionally all travelers must complete the online Check-Mig form (available here), between 72 hours and 1 hour prior to arrival in, or departure from, Colombia. This requisite is independent from the vaccination proof.
Stay in Colombia
Every person in the Colombian territory must follow with the biosecurity protocols issued by the Ministry of Health. In Bogotá and Bucaramaga, there is no requirement to wear masks at closed or outdoor spaces, with exception of the Educational Facilities, Health Facilities and Transport. Therefore, you must wear a mask at all times inside the university buildings and in the public transport. The covid vaccination certificate is no longer required to enter establishments like restaurants and bars, however it is required to attend big scale events as the IPT Ceremonies and Final.
In case any team needs to take a COVID-19 test in Colombia the Health Ministry maintains a list of facilities to provide tests (original in Spanish can be found here). Delivery apps such as Rappi can also provide tests. Foreign citizens must pay for their own tests.
